What it does

How Modem works with Sentry

Connect Sentry so the agent can pair your error data with the customer feedback behind it.

Errors from chat

Search issues and read stack traces and sample events without leaving the conversation.

Feedback included

Review user feedback submitted through Sentry next to the error data it came with.

Approval before changes

Resolve, assign, or reprioritize issues from Modem. In Slack and, by default, in the dashboard, each action waits for your approval.

The product

One pipeline for everything your customers say

Sentry is one of the places Modem listens and acts. Everything lands in one prioritized view at app.modem.dev, grouped by what people are actually asking for and tied to the people and companies who raised it.

How to connect Sentry

Connecting takes a few minutes. You need a Modem account and permission to authorize Sentry for your team.

  1. 1

    Create a Modem account

Sign up at app.modem.dev/auth/signup. Modem has a free plan, so you can connect your first tools without paying.

  2. 2

    Connect Sentry

In your Modem organization, go to Settings, then Integrations, then Sentry, and authorize the connection.

  3. 3

    Ask the agent

Mention Sentry in a conversation with the Modem agent, in Slack or the dashboard, and it uses the connection to answer and act.

  4. 4

    Build it into automations

Use Sentry in event automations and recurring agent tasks, so routine work runs without anyone kicking it off.

FAQ

Common questions about the Sentry integration

What can the Modem agent do in Sentry?

Search issues, read stack traces and sample events, and review user feedback submitted through Sentry. It can also resolve, assign, or reprioritize issues, asking for your approval first in Slack and, by default, in the dashboard.

Will the agent change Sentry issues on its own?

In Slack and, by default, in the dashboard, no: actions that modify issues, like resolving or reassigning, wait for your approval. Automations run without an approval step.

How do I connect Sentry?

In Modem, go to Settings, then Integrations, then Sentry, and authorize your organization. The setup docs at modem.ai/docs/integrations/sentry cover the details.
