What customers say on calls, connected to everything else they said.
Modem ingests transcripts from your recorded Gong calls, links speakers to the people and companies it already knows by email, and groups what customers said into topics with your other feedback.
How Modem works with Gong
Capture transcripts from your recorded Gong calls and connect what customers say on calls to your other sources.
Calls become conversations
Recorded calls are ingested as conversations, grouped into topics, and classified like any other feedback source.
Speakers linked by email
Speakers with an email are matched to the people Modem already knows from Slack, support, and email, and to companies by their work email domain. Speakers without one stay separate until merged.
You choose the scope
Pick which Gong workspaces to capture and whether calls with only your own team on them are included.
One pipeline for everything your customers say
Gong is one of the places Modem listens and acts. Everything lands in one prioritized view at app.modem.dev, grouped by what people are actually asking for and tied to the people and companies who raised it.
How to connect Gong
Connecting takes a few minutes. You need a Modem account and permission to authorize Gong for your team.
- 1
Create a Modem account
Sign up at app.modem.dev/auth/signup. Modem has a free plan, so you can connect your first sources without paying.
- 2
Connect Gong
In your Modem organization, go to Settings, then Integrations, then Gong, and authorize the connection.
- 3
Choose what Modem captures
You decide the scope: which channels, projects, or workspaces Gong feedback comes from. Nothing outside your selection is read.
- 4
Watch topics form
New Gong activity is classified and clustered into topics automatically, alongside feedback from your other connected sources.
Common questions about the Gong integration
What does Modem capture from Gong?
Transcripts, participants, call details, and a link back to each recorded Gong call. No audio or video. When you connect, Modem imports the last 30 days, up to 100 calls, then checks Gong for new calls about every 15 minutes.
Does Modem capture internal calls?
Not on new connections by default. The External calls only setting skips calls where every participant is marked internal in Gong, and you can turn it off or choose which Gong workspaces to capture.
How do I connect Gong?
In Modem, an owner or admin goes to Settings, then Integrations, then Gong, and a Gong technical admin authorizes the connection. The setup docs at modem.ai/docs/integrations/gong cover the details.
Which Modem plans include Gong?
New Gong connections need the Scale plan or above, or an active trial; on other plans the Gong card appears locked in Settings. Organizations that connected Gong earlier on a lower plan keep their connection.
